I have a 2017 D-max, and I did plenty of carful research before I decided that I was not just going to 'follow the pack', and I have now fitted both front and rear LTG lockers. Right from the start Tom was knowledgeable and patient in helping me make my decision. Fitting both diffs was straight forward and hassle-free, with clear, easy to follow, detailed instructions. Next I needed to check that both diffs were working, but how? It was Saturday afternoon, but I thought I may as well call Tom, on the off chance he might answer. After 2 rings, I get a cheerful "LTG4x4, Tom speaking." Tom was, yet again, obliging and patient as he talked me through the testing process. It seemed like he had all the time in the world for me, and his only focus was for me to be happy. This bloke goes way above-and-beyond, and is obviously proud of the products he sells, and backs it with his enthusiastic sales and aftersales support. The diffs operate exactly as expected, and I have already used them where my D-max traction control system could take me no further. So, if you are looking, and not sure, then just buy LTG, you cannot go wrong. Thanks again Tom.

Fitted an Auto Conversion for a VDJ79 LandCruiser. Absolutely everything needed was supplied in the kit. Tom @ LTG4x4 has been very helpful and willing to explain and guide us through the process. The conversion kit went in, and now the LandCruiser has way more pickup and goes harder than the manual gearbox could. They just work well together. The Auto has 3 modes, meaning the end user can set the mode they like. Towing has a higher shift point and firmer shifts, making the vehicle go hard. It's impressive to see the vehicle cruising along the highway at ~1600 rpm @ 100km/hr, lower than the manual gearbox. Engine is barely working.

I had an LTG4x4 auto conversion fitted to my 2021 79 single cab and I'm really impressed! I've just completed a trip I do every year, and even with an extra ton of weight, a roof rack and an engine re-map I got about the same fuel economy as before. It drives great and they customised the console to fit my existing fridge between the seats. The cabin looks impressive, really good, and the best part it was $15,000 cheaper than any other price I was quoted. Thanks to tom and the team at LTG. Super happy.

We discovered LTG4X4 through a chance meeting with Founder Tom a little over a year ago and immediately got talking about 4WD products. Having kept in contact, when we were ready to pull the trigger on a kit we knew we wanted to use on of his bolt on kits for the 1HZ (in our case in a 105 Series)We opted for the high performance package with top mount intercooler and full stainless exhaust. We loved the fact that the kit is a 100% bolt on kit and looks very close to factory fit and finish. The fitting instructions are very detailed and include great pictures, but in our case Tom offered to lend a hand to fit the kit as we were under serious time pressure before a trip! Tom got the job done and dusted in a single day before we embarked on a nearly 3000km round trip. On the trip we experienced fuel economy close to standard while towing a 2 tonne camper. Having now put 5000km of driving on the kit we have no exhaust rattles, no water or oil leaks and a very happy engine with more power available if required. Our vehicle has 480k on the clock and it has felt very strong since having the additional power implemented through Tom’s kit.If you are in the market for a turbo kit I would highly recommend the LTG4X4 kit.

Recently my 75 series Troopy with just over a ½ million kms on its 1HZ engine broke a piston head, not bad considering this distance included quite a few thousand pulling a three tonne caravan. So what to do? I contacted Tom at LTG 4x4, someone I’ve known and used over the years to fix and help advise on many issues with several of my 4WD’s. Tom has a wealth of knowledge and experience second to none, which I have found invaluable so many times. After a lot of discussion and some deep thinking, I decided to take advantage of this situation and upgrade the Troopy to a quality used 1HD FT engine procured by Tom. After a relatively short time it arrived and was installed into the old girl. I was really surprised how seamless the change over from the 1HZ was and after just a few hours and a bit of post installation tinkering, the Troopy is back on the road with more power than ever. I’m also much happier with the knowledge that it’s a better designed and tougher motor to work as a towing tug. What I initially thought would be a horrendous chapter in my Troopies history turned out to be an easy and painless exercise. Hi, I recently completed the Canning Stock Route in WA. This was an epic 1800km journey through remote WA, across 4 deserts. To do this, my wife and I carried 140 litres of water, 270 litres of fuel, shower, toilet, beers, and food for 20 days. Our 3.9 Tonne GVM upgrade to our 100 series Landcruiser was every bit needed. With the help of a mechanic friend, we fitted the new rear diff, heavier torsion bars and shocks and followed the fitting instructions. While it was a big job it was comforting to know the upgrade is certified to carry the heavier loads required for our trip. Along with this upgrade we also fitted a free-wheeling front hub kit (to save fuel and wear) and front difflock kit. Again, I needed and recommend professional assistance to fit. Tom, the owner was wonderful to deal with and was always available for fitting advice and trouble shooting. Tom is so knowledgeable and easy to talk to. We highly recommend LTG 4x4 GVM upgrade. It is well worth the cost and effort knowing you can comfortably carry roof top tents, awnings and all the other camping gear as well as tow a boat, which is what we will be doing. Thanks heaps Tom!

He had prompt communication, even outside of business hours! A forecast 6 week lead time was only slightly extended, but this was done with full communication and done because of upgrades being done to my kit. Good delivery and instructions for installation which made it easy to get the engineering completed. I have to rate LTG 4x4 at 110% having installed an E-Locker in my Isuzu Dmax recently. Tom's instructions were great especially just sliding the axles out [90mm} to save time. All questions about my vehicle where it departed from the norm were sorted quickly. He has infinite patience!!! My only regret was asking a local 4x4 company to check my backlash and preload; they made it too tight and I had to redo the bearings when they failed away from home. If wedges are used like I did in the photo watch you don’t overload it. Shims were lightly tapped in so it was tight and then a small approx. 0.2 was added behind the pack after tapping the wedges in just a whisker more. Advice I was given, not sure of it technically but as a locker has more steel it expands more so allow 0.25 backlash. Locker test was towing large logs left behind on the flood plain; it performed admirably.

Excellent customer service by Tom and Jad's Automotive to fit the LTG front locker to my DMAX. I wanted the factory looking switch next to the existing rear locker switch, Lightforce came through with a custom laser etched switch which Tom worked out quite nicely to wire in. I took my DMAX to Adelaide Hills 4X4 Park yesterday for a test session and I was absolutely impressed by the performance! I tried front locker only, rear locker only, and twin locked. I could not fault the LTG after many cycles. I highly recommend the LTG locker to anyone wanting to up their game 😎

I just want to give a big shoutout to Tom at LTG for his exceptional service. We bought a front diff locker from LTG, and after a major off-road event, we encountered issues with our diff. Tom promptly took action upon learning about the problem and worked tirelessly to resolve it. After just two late-night calls, we discovered that we had bent an axle, causing damage to the diff center. It's worth noting that this issue was not a fault of his product. Once identified, Tom arranged for me to pick up a new diff center the next morning, which completely amazed me. With Tom's support, I was able to reassemble the diff within three nights. Tom was very helpful in explaining diff locks and their practical use. I purchased the Electromagnetic Locker for the front diff of my 2003 100 series and it arrived within two days (SA to Qld). After much research it ticked all the boxes for me, no mainenance, leaky air pipes and compressors to install, 100% locked at the flick of a switch on the dash, the service and advice I received before and after left the competition in the dust. To start with Tom was very happy to discuss possible issues on my individual fit up. Payment was easy, shipping was fast from SA to NSW.On opening the package I laid everything out on a bench and checked it all arrived , no parts missing. I was impressed with the cooling and lube lines being all braid.Instructions were clear and concise and easy to follow.The installation was very easy for a reasonably equipped shed like I have. I am clearly no mechanic.After the fit up was complete because of a security device spot welded on the fuel adjustment had to be removed I lost the position of the adjustment screw.A simple message to Tom on a Saturday afternoon on how to get the boost back down and EGT right and what to look for, had the truck running nice. I had fitted a two in one SAAS boost EGT gauge and finally got it right on after some runs over a few days.Tom checked back in with me to make sure all was good and he confirmed all was good.I would recommend you take the dump pipe option as a minimum and a welder and 3" -2.5" adapter that I welded an EGT probe socket and attached a 3 bolt flange to , the exhaust hooked up easily to the reasonably new 2.5 " I have..1 and half days had it up and running . There was no rush doing it.Tip. If you watch You Tube for installs on the 1HZ motor, there are guys that make it look so difficult, taking days to fit up a turbo in pretty good workshops. It isn't that hard at all with this kit and Tom backing it up. Look at your install before you start to ensure you have exhaust components to finish the job, gasket sealant in high temp and normal grade should you need to remove your sump, oil and filters that should be changed . As I said a two in one SAAS boost EGT gauge is a minimum. You will need to purchase a probe socket to weld in.Very happy with the performance , it gives you back a gear or so, and definitely smoother idling and driving..I am very happy I took this option .. and would recommend this kit.
